Create Your Own Reality and Heal Your Body

There have been more than a few cases where "terminally ill" patients with no hope from modern or alternative medicine have cured themselves of their terminal disease by the power of their own mind.  Combining techniques of visualization, affirmation, a positive, happy, and light-hearted attitude/environment, and a focus on the end goal - total health, individuals have achieved the "impossible."  Various forms of cancer are the main diseases that come to mind here, but other less serious ailments have been miraculously overcome as well such as loss of hearing or eyesight, regaining the ability to walk or speak, etc.  Below is a breakdown of some of these highly effective miracle techniques as related to regaining health.

Visualization:

Visualize your body (in the first person perspective, not another's perspective of you) as a strong, healthy, lively body, able to do anything and overcome anything... whatever that means to you.  It might mean you want to kick butt on the basketball court once again, dance on stage, or simply be out of bed, watch a sunset, or listen to a beautiful symphony - whatever makes you happy.  In addition to visualizing the body you know from the outside, you can also visualize what you want going on inside your body - healthy blood cells defeating cancer cells, etc.  And you can make this visualization as realistic or non-realistic as you like - whatever you enjoy and believe; for example you could visualize a cartoon version of your healthy cells coralling the bad cells right down a shoot and out of your body if you want!  Do whatever is enjoyable for you to visualize and whatever you feel is having a positive effect on you of any kind.

(Positive) Affirmation:

Tell yourself every night before bed and every morning after you wake up, what you want for your body and health and that you are already getting what you want.  For example, "I want to be totally healthy in every way, and I know I'm already healthier today than I was yesterday" or "Everyday in every way, I'm getting better and better" - whatever you believe and feel good saying and hearing everyday.  And say it with your true feelings and emotions - happiness, gratitude, love, peace, etc.

Right-Thinking / Attitude / Environment:

Maintain only positive thoughts about yourself and life, and surround yourself with others who will do the same.  Don't surround yourself with loved ones who are depressed or practically in tears because they are certain you are going to die - surround yourself with those who either don't know or who are optimistic like you.  If there is no one like that, then so be it - do the things you love and meet some positive new people!  Do anything that makes you feel good - if you hate your job and you might be dying, then quit and do all the things you never had time for, but do them with joy, not with the attitude that you're finally doing it now that you're dying.  Watch only funny movies or listen to joyful music or whatever, so that no negative thoughts ever have a chance to enter your mind.

Focus (Only on the Goal):

Always remember to focus on the end goal, not where you are now, not where you've been, and not where you don't want to be.  Focus on whatever level of health you really want.  If you focus on living 1 more year, you'll probably do just that, but it might not be a good year.  Maybe you just want to live everyday joyfully and carefree or maybe you want to live healthily from now until your daughter happily gets married.  So pick your goal carefully and specifically and then focus on that, but with detachment.  Don't stress about not reaching your goal, simply say "I want to ..., or something better, and I certainly don't need to."  When you're attached to a desire it's often lost, but when we're unattached it's often attained.  Ask yourself what the worst that could happen is if you're feeling attached to something in particular.  The worst that could happen is usually not bad at all when we look more closely.  At the very least, if you can't control anything else, you can control your own attitude and that is no small achievement - that means you can be happy in any situation no matter what the circumstances... ever seen the movie "Life is Beautiful?"  Happiness, along with all the emotions, is a choice, and what we focus on is a choice... sometimes you just gotta say, "what the hay!"
