The only person you are authorized to improve..

..In fact, it would seem that you are, in a sense, obligated to.  It's not just about " healing" the self; rather, it's about the initial development of self in the first place.  With the proper development, no injury is incurred to begin with; therefore, no 'healing' is required. You are right to insist that the healing necessarily come from within.  However, most people believe that this phenomenon can only be limited to 'affairs of the heart' -- i.e. spiritual matters.  I emplore you, though, to utilize the BSC [Bio-SuperComputer]: the brain.  Wisdom will set you free.  In my mid-20's, I nearly walked "the dark path," I was living on the street at one point.  I finally ran out of excuses, and started community college.  I received a 4.0, and gained acceptance to UCLA.  My father died in my 3rd week there; in my final quarter (originally Spring 2006), I was on the receiving end of a 'hit-n-run' accident, which left me in a coma for several days.  In Spring 2007, I finished what I started, by graduating with "College Honors."  To think, all of this started as a general mission to, as I put it at the time: "work on improving self"!  Not too bad for a high school dropout who thought he'd end up in in 'Quentin' or 'Chino.'
