I received a 4.0, and gained acceptance to UCLA. My father died in my 3rd week there; in my final quarter (originally Spring 2006), I was on the receiving end of a 'hit-n-run' accident, which left me in a coma for several days. In Spring 2007, I finished what I started, by graduating with "College Honors." To think, all of this started as a general mission to, as I put it at the time: "work on improving self"! Not too bad for a high school dropout who thought he'd end up in in 'Quentin' or 'Chino.'
