You'll See It When You Believe It - Not the Other Way Around

Successful New York Times Best Selling Author, Wayne Dyer, has a book titled, "You'll See It When You Believe It," published years ago. Although it was written quite some time before "The Secret" or "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" ever came out, it supports and discusses a lot of the same concepts. The main idea is, "You'll see it when you believe it," and not the other way around as is commonly heard, "I'll believe it when I see it!" In other words,if you don't believe something is possible first, you won't be able to see it or recognize it.
Remember the Native American story from "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" when the Native Americans see the unusual ripples in the ocean, but don't see what's causing them? The wisest member stairs at the ripples for long periods of time trying to see what could be causing the ripples and finally he sees several large ships coming toward the land. The wise Native American tells the others what he sees and since they trust and believe in him, they are finally able to see the ships as well. It wasn't until any of them believed in something that could produce the effect of the ripples that they were able to see what they finally believed. Have you ever seen something where you said, "I don't believe it" and you really weren't sure if you were seeing accurately? You weren't sure what you were actually seeing because what you thought you might be seeing did not fit with your beliefs.
Just like "The Secret" tells us, we must first Ask, then Believe, then Receive. We must believe we can have what we want and believe that we will have what we want, in order for us to receive it. If we don't believe it's possible for us to have something, then we will never have it. That is what so many of the tools discussed in "The Secret" are for - to help us believe we can and will achieve whatever it is that we want. Meditation is used to clear our mind and come up with new possibilities. Visualization is used to create new connections in our brain and body that build a stronger belief that we can and will have something. Vision Boards are used to keep our attention on what we want and see what we want repetetively so we get used to seeing what we want and believing that we will have it, or that we already have it. Affirmations are used to reprogram our subconscious with new beliefs so that we believe we can have what we want, and so on.
If you have the believe that something is not possible, you are almost guaranteed not to see it happen (either it actually won't happen, or it will happen, but you just won't see it for yourself). That is why it is so important that our subconscious beliefs are in harmony with our desires. Start believing right now in whatever you want to have or happen. Once you have true belief, or true faith, that it can and will happen, it will happen.
