Does anyone remember the build-up to the 2004 Presidential Election, specifically, the 'predominant' attitude of "not Bush" or "anyone but Bush" and all the yelling and shouting about what Bush had done wrong? Have you ever heard the expression, "any publicity is good publicity" or "there's no such thing as bad publicity?" How about Lisa Nichols (from "The Secret" and the Oprah show) saying "the universe doesn't hear that you don't want it" (what you focus on expands, whether you want it or not). Do you see where I'm going - what went wrong in the election and how to avoid a similar situation in the future? By saying "not Bush" and putting all that energy into saying how bad Bush was, we not only failed to make an actual decision about what we did want, but we put most of our energy into "Bush."
