Thoughts and words of Neale Donald Walsch, Author from the movie, "The Secret":

There is no blackboard in the sky that tells you what your purpose in life is - you get to decide what your purpose is.

Do whatever you enjoy - if you experience joy eating a sandwich, do that!

Morris E. Goodman, "The Miracle Man" in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Morris E. Goodman, "The Miracle Man" from the movie, "The Secret":

He was in a horrible airplane crash.  He was in the hospital, paralized, with a crushed spinal cord, couldn't eat or drink, couldn't breath on his own, all he could do was blink eyes.   The doctors said he'd always be a vegetable, but he thought otherwise in his mind - he pictured himself being a normal person again, and all he had to work with was his mind and his thoughts.

He kept thinking to himself, breath deep, breath deep, and the doctors were at a loss for an explanation when he came off his ventilator.

He knew he could not let anything into his mind that would deter him from what he wanted, which was to be normal again and functional.

He set a goal to walk out of the hospital by christmas, and he walked out on his own two feet even though everyone said it couldn't be done.  read more »

Thoughts and words of Cathy Goodman, Breast Cancer Survivor from the movie, "The Secret":

She found out she had advanced Breast Cancer.

She believed in her heart that she was already healed and said thank you for my healing all day long; she saw herself as cancer was never in her body.

She spent all her time watching tons of funny movies to make her laugh and avoid all stress.

After 3 months, she went back to the doctor and found out she was completely healed, and without using any radiation or chemotherapy.

Dr. Ben Johnson, Physician in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Dr. Ben Johnson, MD NMD DO, Physician from the movie, "The Secret":

Diagnoses and disease is just stress in the body.

Each of our bodies came with a program called self-healing (wounds are healed by our own bodies, etc.).

Beyond atoms, we are made up of energy.

Marie Diamond, Feng Shui Consultant in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Marie Diamond, Feng Shui Consultant from the movie, "The Secret":

We are the creators of our universe... be careful of what you wish because it will manifest.

She went to a wealthy art director's house, and he had artwork all over house with this same aloof, disinterested woman with her back turned, and Marie said to him, "I bet you have trouble in your romance."

He thought she was psychic or something, and she explained how he was attracting that sort of troubled love life by painting those paintings himself and surrounding himself with them.

So she asked him what he wanted and he said he wanted to date 3 women a week.  So she told him to paint himself with three women and hang one in every corner.  read more »

Loral Langemeier, Financial Strategist in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Loral Langemeier, Financial Strategist from the movie, "The Secret":

She grew up with the mentality that you had to work hard for money.

She replaced that belief with "money comes easily and frequently;" even though at first your brain says you liar! eventually you believe it and it works.

Most of her financial advice involves changing her clients' psychology about money.

Lee Brower, Teacher in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Lee Brower, Teacher from the movie, "The Secret":

When he was going through a rought time in his life, he bent down and picked up a rock and thought, every time I touch this rock I'm going to think of everything that I'm grateful for, (which is at least every morning and night when he empties and fills his pockets).

A guy from South Africa saw him drop the rock out of his pocket once and asked him what it was and he explained it to him, so the South African started calling it a Gratitude Rock.  2 weeks later he got an email from him in South Africa, saying his son is dying from a rare disease, and asked him if he would send 3 gratitude rocks?  read more »

Thoughts and words of John Gray, PhD Psychologist from the movie, "The Secret":

Every husband knows that when his wife appreciates the little things her husband does, the husband wants to do more; so appreciate brings you more of what you're grateful for.

David Schirmer, Investment Trainer in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of David Schirmer, Investment Trainer from the movie, "The Secret":

He uses the Law of Attraction to visualize parking spaces that he wants all the time, and he either always has an open one where he wants or he has to wait just a minute as a car pulls out of his space.

He changed a bank statement he got by writing in a new bank account total and focused and visualized on that; a month later he just started getting checks in mail (some bills too, but more checks than bills).

James Arthur Ray, Philosopher in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of James Arthur Ray, Philosopher from the movie, "The Secret":

Family pets are great because they bring you so much joy.

The story of the genie and the magic lamp (your wish is my command) - now the story says you get 3 wishes, but if you trace the story back through history you find that the wishes granted were unlimited.

Every tradition tells us there's something bigger than us.

This isn't who you are (what you see today), this is just the residual outcome of your past thoughts and actions... defining yourself from present circumstances dooms your future to be more of the same.

Every morning he says thank you and feels the feelings of gratitude.  read more »

Marci Shimoff, Author in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Marci Shimoff, MBA Author from the movie, "The Secret":

It's impossible to monitor all of our thoughts - research tells us we each have about 60,000 thoughts per day.  The easier way to monitor our thinking is our feelings - they let us know easily what we're thinking.  If you feel good, you're creating a future that's in harmony with your wants, and vice versa.

"Whatever you're thinking and feeling today is creating your future."

You are the deliberate creator of your life - a life beyond what you can possibly imagine now.

Get in the habit of using the Law of Attraction to create great lives.

We often think outter things will bring us happiness, but we have to go for happiness first, then the outer things will appear.  read more »

Dr. Denis Waitley, Psychologist in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Dr. Denis Waitley PhD, Psychologist in the movie, "The Secret":

The leaders in the past who knew the secret kept it a secret - kep the masses in the dark so they wouldn't have any power.

He took the visualization process from the Apollo program and successfully instituted it into the Olympic program, calling it "Visual Motor Rehearsal."

"When you visualize, you materialize."

Olympic athletes were hooked up to machines for testing, and they would run their event only in their mind, and the research data showed that the same muscles fired in the same sequence as when they ran their actual events in reality.

"I think if you've been there in the mind, you'll go there in the body."

Fred Alan Wolf, Quantum Physicist in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Fred Alan Wolf, PhD Quantum Physicist from the movie, "The Secret"

"I'm not talking to you from the point of view of just wishful thinking, or imaginary, craziness..."  Quantum physics says you can't have a universe without mind - it's helping create what we see.  "Every single 'I'm not' is a creation."

The new era is mind (not space, as it used to be, etc.).

Dr. John F. Demartini, Philosopher, in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Dr. John F. Demartini, Philosopher from the movie, "The Secret":

"Whatever we think about and thank about, we bring about."

We all know about the placebo effect - the human mind healing our body when we think we're taking medicine, and sometimes the placebo effect is stronger than the actual medicine.

If you're seriously sick, take the modern medicine route while you explore other alternatives.

Sickness just tells us we're not happy or grateful in life.

He always says "incurable means curable from within."

"When the voice and the vision on the inside become more profound and more clear and loud than the opinions on the outside, you've mastered your life"

Lack is only a lack of vision to see all that is around us.

Dr. John Hagelin, Quantum Physicist in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Dr. John Hagelin PhD AB MA, Quantum Physicist from the movie "The Secret":

When we're positive - we attract more positive, when we're negative - we attract more negative

Our body is the product of our thoughts.  Science is starting to explore how our thoughts create and affect our bodies.  Within a few years we have a brand new body, cell-wise.  Negative thoughts have been shown to degrade our body.

We're using at most 5% of the human mind; imagine a world where everyone used their full mental and emotional potential.

Bill Harris, Therapist in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Bill Harris, Therapist from the movie "The Secret":

Harris had a student who was a gay man and explained to Harris how horrible his life was... he was teased, harrassed, and given a hard time by his coworkers at his office job, he was trying to become a stand-up comedian but was booed off of stage, and everywhere he walked around the city he was harrassed by homophobic strangers.  Harris showed him how he was focusing on everything he did not want, and very passionately, which made what he didn't want to happen even more so, so he had his student begin focussing on what he actually wanted.  Within 6-8 weeks everything in his life had changed dramatically - everyone at his office who had bothered him had either transfered or just left him alone, he became a huge hit in his stand-up comedian act, and he didn't run into any more homophobic strangers on the street.

Jack Canfield, Author in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Jack Canfield, Author from the movie, "The Secret":

Our feelings are a feedback mechanism that tell us whether we're on the right track or not.

He attributes his wonderful lifestyle to the concepts of "The Secret" which is why he wants to share the concepts with others.

Most people don't allow themselve to want what they truly want because they don't see how it could possibly manifest for them.

Think of the headlights on a car at night only lighting up 200 ft, but the car can make it across the country even though you can't see the whole way, just 200 feet in front.  That's how it works when you have a desire - you don't need to see the whole way it's going to manifest, but you can have faith that it will.

The feeling, not the picture or the thought, attracts it.  Visualize with feeling first and foremost!  read more »

Rev. Dr. Michael Beckwith, Visionary in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Reverand Dr. Michael Beckwith, Visionary from the movie, "The Secret":

You're attracting what's in your prominent thoughts, whether they're conscious or unconscious thoughts.

When people first learn the secret they get scared of all their negative thoughts, but it's been scientifically proven that a positive thought is hundreds of times more powerful than a negative thought.

"The universe will correspond to the nature of your song, the universe will correspond to the nature of that inner feeling, and manifest because that's the way you feel."

Whatever thought has done in your life, it can be undone through a shift in your awareness.  That is very empowering!

If you only intellectually believe something but don't feel it, you don't have enough power to manifest it.

Lisa Nichols, Author in "The Secret"

BlueButterfly's picture

Thoughts and words of Lisa Nichols, Author in the movie, "The Secret":

The universe "doesn't hear that you don't want it."

Whenever you're thinking, the Law of Attraction is working, continually.  Thank God there's a time delay - it's not usually an instant thought-turned-into-reality - which lets you decide and reevaluate if you really want it first.

Good feelings and bad feelings... celebrate the good feelings and you'll get more good feelings.  "Your thoughts and your feelings create your life"

3 step process been around for 2 thousand years:  1.ask, 2.believe - have unwavering faith - believing in the unseen.  (We get frustrated, disappointed, and doubtful when we ask and don't yet receive - replace that feeling with "i know like i know like i know" that it's on its way.)  3.receive - begin to feel wonderful about it, and feel now as you would when you do receive it.  read more »
